Seegut am Tegernsee, Bad Wiessee (DE)

The “Seegut am Tegernsee” is a new district being built directly on the lake promenade. It is divided into three areas: the hotel in the north, the residential complex in the south and a public area with an inn and cultural barn in the middle. The ensemble is embedded in an extensive and varied green space concept. The architecture and arrangement of the 25 individual buildings take up the local architectural style, transform it in a contemporary way and integrate the Seegut harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.

The buildings are largely constructed in sustainable timber. The heating and cooling requirements are covered by a thermal lake water system. The project is being planned and implemented by three teams of architects – Maier Neuberger, Innauer Matt and Dietrich Untertrifaller. The connecting bracket of the outdoor facilities is designed by Enea Landscape Architecture.

The hotel complex accommodates about 170 beds in rooms and suites to individual houses for groups and families. A wellbeing and spa area with yoga pavilion completes the amenities.
The public area includes an inn for around 200 guests with a beer garden, an event hall and the culture barn. Exhibitions and concerts can be held here on an area of about 400 m².
In the south of the area – at the transition to the Kurpark – three apartment buildings with a total of 34 flats are being built. The lake promenade will of course remain freely accessible, as will the new, attractively designed paths leading to the lake.
