SIZ Software Innovation Center, Friedrichshafen (DE)

In the Competence Park Friedrichshafen we are building a Software Innovation Centre (SIZ) with around 300 workstations on an area of approx. 5,600 m². Generous outdoor areas and a roof terrace will provide a pleasant working and feel-good climate.

The cube-shaped building, clad with dark anodised aluminium meander profiles, forms a clearly legible location with a high degree of recognition. The reinforced concrete skeleton construction enables an extremely economical construction method as well as a highly flexible framework for the current and future requirements of the users. The column grid allows for variable floor plans that can be adapted to all needs. The building-high atrium with numerous connecting bridges bundles all communal and communication areas and ensures short distances and optimal orientation.

The building is divided into different zones which, on the one hand, allow concentrated work and, on the other hand, provide rooms for meetings, teamwork and other communicative work. Flexibly designed meeting rooms as well as individual oases of rest and fitness zones divide the building into work and leisure areas. The atrium, which is naturally lit from above by large skylights, creates a warm, inviting atmosphere for constructive, informal exchange and recreation in the communication zones.
