Office campus Software company, Karlsruhe (DE)

The new campus will become a pioneer in the areas of collaboration, new work as well as environmental compatibility and sustainability. Our concept includes a Welcome Center, several Innovation Centers and a multifunctional parking garage. The individual buildings are connected by attractive open spaces and form a linked-up campus.

1st construction phase
In a 1st construction phase, the Welcome Center, an Innovation Center and the parking garage will be built. The four-story Welcome Center is slightly set back from the street and thus opens a generous entrance for the campus. The two flanking structures of the parking garage and the innovation center frame a gently molded landscape with meadows, trees and a pond.

2nd construction phase
Three more innovation centers will follow in the 2nd construction phase. They again surround a park-like center and complete the square of the campus. The green heart of the campus thus remains free and is sheltered by the surrounding buildings. This source of relaxation and vitality for employees and visitors also provides a habitat for a wide variety of flora and fauna.

Flexible spatial structures
Both the Welcome Center and the Innovation Center offer flexible spatial structures for different uses. In the Innovation Center, deeply carved terraces and well-proportioned courtyards provide attractive working areas. A central, spacious, naturally lit circulation zone ensures clear orientation within the building and at the same time offers a place for meeting and communication.

Construction
Due to the grid-based floor plan concept with economic spans, we designed the Welcome Center and Innovation Center as a wood-concrete hybrid building. In addition to the bracing cores of the vertical link, all other construction elements can thus be prefabricated. This ensures a high level of quality management from the facade to the floor slab as well as an agile and integrative planning process.
