MGC Plaza, Vienna (AT)

The positioning of the slender skyscrapers on Leopold-Böhm-Straße and the plinth building on Döblerhofstraße creates a spacious, clearly defined urban square in the south and north, which forms a park-like ‘green centre’ of the new urban quarter. The new residential park links the mixed uses of the surrounding area with the planned new residential quarter. It fits in well with the overall green and open space network, which offers attractive pedestrian connections to the nearby green areas and infrastructures, e.g. the underground.

The design shows three elegant, equally high residential towers with a height of 120 metres and a base area of around 30 by 30 metres. The towers are arranged linearly with intermediate distances of 30 metres each. Opposite the striking towers is the plinth building with a south-facing Kindergarten and commercial areas on the ground floor (including café and outdoor area) and basement. Above this, a ‘use-neutral’ building structure offers a variety of options such as offices, law firms and offices.
