Award: thomaswechsprize 2018

July 20, 2018

On July 20, the thomaswechsprize 2018 was awarded during the BDA Summer Festival in the garden of the Architecture Museum Schwaben. Out of 67 entries from all over Bavarian-Swabia, the international jury – consisting of Bernardo Bader, Dornbirn, Armando Ruinelli, Soglio and Michaela Wolf, Brixen – shortlisted 31 projects in an initial online vote. After a joint meeting, they personally inspected eleven selected works.

For the first time, the jury decided on a further category, the “Closer Selection”, and awarded five entries in addition to the recognitions and prizes. We are proud to announce that our project “Europazentrum Gut Hochreute” in Immenstadt, Allgäu, received an award in this category. Patrick Stremler (right) and project manager Günther Prechter are happy about this award.

The results are on display in the Architecture Museum Schwaben until the beginning of August. After that the exhibition travels on and will stop at the Allgäuer Festwoche from 11 to 19 August in Kempten.

The thomaswechsprize is the regional architecture prize of the BDA Bayern for Swabia. For the 9th time already, it honours outstanding projects in the administrative district of Swabia. Its focus lies once again on the work, the client and his architect. The thomaswechsprize is awarded to building owners and architects every three years.
