Mühlweg – Passiv Houses, Vienna (AT)

High ecological standards and a mixed-timber construction design were specified for this prototype estate on the outskirts of Vienna. The compact, four-story apartment buildings were conceived as passive houses. Walls, floors and ceilings made of solid timber panels form the supporting structure around a staircase made of reinforced concrete. Each element of the façade was prefabricated including windows, insulation and base plaster.
