Am Nonnenstieg Quarter, Göttingen (DE)

The distinctive topography of the plot, with its two different heights, required a tailor-made solution. In the south-western area, seven identical buildings are envisioned that characterize the new district center. Due to the rising height, the structures are slightly offset from one another and thus react to the differentiated proportions of the surrounding buildings.
This arrangement of the polygonal structures with precisely coordinated edges allows maximum transparency, a diverse range of glimpses and vistas and attractive green oases, which can be enjoyed regularly in many different ways. Front-facing loggias enlarge the living area with a classy open space and create a smooth transition between indoors and outdoors. The buildings blend gently into the old trees, and their wooden facades and wrap-around balconies blend with the green space all around.
