House SF, Dornbirn (AT)

The design of the three-story house was driven by the view of the western slope in Dornbirn, completely taking in the Rhine valley and Lake Constance and embracing the whole border triangle. The property is accessible at its lowest point. A fair-faced concrete plinth forms the base for a two-story glass cube divided by a balcony that surrounds the building on three sides offering precious views. The cantilevered roof responds to the balcony below, protecting glass facades and providing shade.
In contrast to the rooms of the bedroom floor, the living area is designed as an open plan area. A central open kitchen separates the dining from the seating area. The basement houses a spacious garage, gymnastics room, secondary rooms and the substructure of a swimming pool.
