Les Akènes Lormont, Bordeaux (FR)

A new residential quarter is to be built on the former Siemens premises in Lormont. Together with Mecanoo Architectes, we have developed a concept for four residential buildings. The compact buildings rest on a green base and are oriented towards the park. All apartments are oriented to several sides, with large floor-to-ceiling windows and terraces and balconies. The architectural expression of the building is created by the façade, which is designed with a rhythmic variation of wood, plaster and window surfaces.
