Architect Dipl.-Ing. Maria Megina, Partner Vienna

Maria Megina studied architecture at the Bauhaus-University in Weimar with a focus on residential construction, housing development and urban planning. During her studies, she gained practical experience in various architectural offices in Germany (Weis&Volkmann, Leipzig), Austria (AllesWirdGut, Vienna) and Switzerland (EM2N Architekten, Zurich). After receiving her diploma, she began her career as assistant to Prof. Hilde Barz-Malfatti at the Chair of Design and Urban Development at the Bauhaus-University of Weimar.

 

Since 2008, Maria Megina has been working as an architect at Dietrich | Untertrifaller in Vienna, where she became partner in 2014. She has successfully conducted competitions and numerous projects in the fields of urban development, housing and office construction. Her focus is on residential buildings in all categories (sponsored, financed, single-family houses) and urban planning. Particularly noteworthy are the Viennese residential complexes In der Wiesen Süd, Rittersporn, Hirschstettner Straße and Am Seebogen in the Seestadt Aspern as well as the residential building at Stadtwerk West Areal in Salzburg. Since 2014, Maria Megina has taught as a university lecturer at the Institute for Building Construction and Design at the Vienna University of Technology.
